Tournament structure, rules and regulations

Each title of the WePlay Ultimate Fighting League consists of 4 days of competitive fighting!
Day 1 is a FUNDAY! All 16 players will team up with a partner to compete in the Pocket Team Clash, only pocket characters allowed, no main or secondary can picked.
Day 2 & 3 are the group stage play offs, the 16 participants will be split into groups of 8, professional seeded to battle out in a Round Robin format!
The top 4 players from each day will proceed to the The Final 8 Showdown on day 4 where the strongest will be crowned the Champion!

Day 1: Pocket Team Clash

Players pick a partner and team name and battle it out 2 versus 2! This fun tournament has an interesting twist! Main & secondary characters are BANNED!, they have to select their strongest pocket character! The first to defeat both team members wins!

Format:
Double Elimination Format
2 vs 2
16 players
8 teams

Both players on the team must be defeated once for victory!
Round win count  will be slightly adjusted in each game:
MK11U: 3 rounds to win
T7: 4 rounds to win
SCVI: 4 rounds to win

Players can change their characters at anytime! FIGHT!
REMEMBER! MAIN & SECONDARY CHARCTERS ARE BANNED!
The reason to ban main & secondary characters is so they do not get to practise for their opponents and learn the match before the on main event.

Day 2 & 3: Alpha & Omega Group Stages

Players pick a partner to form teams of 2 and battle it out! Main & secondary characters are BANNED! Players must NOT pick their main or secondary characters, they have to select their strongest pocket character!

The first to defeat both team members wins!

The top 4 scoring teams will progress through to a single elimination bracket, the remaining 3 teams will be eliminated.

Single Elimination Bracket Stage

All 4 teams will play, to progress trough the bracket the first to defeat both team members by 3 games wins.

Conventional photography is an extremely viable solution to capture the spirit and soul of each competitor. Thinking outside the box, we intend to ‘ V-Trigger ‘ each finalist with the power of illustration, creating an exciting and unique aesthetic to accompany this world class event.

Super cool broadcast graphics

Street Fighter V is a master piece in it’s own right and the players are legendary. The stage and graphics marry these forces together!

Working with the IS production team, VP want that stage and streamed broadcast to be an engaging, informative and uber cool viewing experience for all.
